Hello party people, are you ready for another sustainable brand spotlight? Because I sure am! Free Label was first introduced to me by @Marielle.elizabeth on Instagram AND I also worked with them a few times for Instagram content! One thing you need to know, I loooooooooove Free Label!

Free Label is a sustainable fashion Vancouver-based company, that not only carries up to 5XL (XS to 5XL), but they know how important it is to see garments on different body shapes and sizes. What I like about Free Label is their aim to create clothing that can easily integrate with the rest of your wardrobe. I value versatility in my closet, so Free Label has been a big staple of mine.

I’ve gathered a few pieces from Free Label over the years, I love their Becky Bratop (XL), Andie Bratop (2XL), Dani Bratop (2XL), Loretta shorts (XL), Two wrap tops (both in XL), a scarf from a brand collaboration they did in 2023 and the Reese Pants (2XL). I think it’s safe to say I rep a lot of Free Label.

They also use sustainable fabrics: their knit Garments are made with technical bamboo, Supima cotton, and lyocell knit. Their woven fabric is made with cotton crepe, custom linen, brushed cotton twill, tencel twill, and stretch cotton twill. When possible, they try to use locally made and organic textiles. Most of their fabric is custom-milled just for Free Label, so cool! If you want more insight into their fabric and what it’s exactly made up of, you can check it out on their website here.

Plus, their factories are only a 10-minute drive away from their headquarters in Vancouver! We love the transparency! They also have their fabrics made in Toronto, ensuring this sustainable brand is Canadian AF.

I also love that Free Label, similar to Nettle’s Tale, loves to have their community reflected in their clothes. All of their models are either working at Free Label or with our community members around Canada. They also have a Visual Size Guide that allows you to see the garment on a body from sizes XS – 5XL, this is HUGE for a brand that doesn’t have many stores throughout Canada and for plus size women who usually have to guess what size they may be; especially with sizing charts not always reflecting the fit of the garment accurately.

I’ve included some Free Label outfits I’ve worn, I think it’s important to see the blogger in the actual clothes she’s preaching about! I hope this brand spotlight helped you discover Free Label and hopefully, they can be a part of your closet like they are a part of mine!
